As a successful and busy Hi-Fi retail store Infidelity had struggled to find time to do anything about their existing website, which they knew required a complete rebuild. After seeing our work on the CEDIA and Clarity projects the Infidelity team had no hesitation in contacting us for their new website.

Project Story

Infidelity are a very well known and respected Hi-Fi retail store in Kingston-upon-Thames, west London. Their careful and professional approach to equipment recommendation and installation has earned them a loyal and dedicated customer base. As a busy shop that traded mainly via their in-store experience, Infidelity's website had been neglected over the years. However, they realised new customers researching Infidelity following a recomendation, would still look at their website before making contact. With this in mind they contacted Presto for a complete rethink of their existing, rather dated website.

Having known the Infidelity team for some years, we got straight to work by looking at graphic design ideas. From the offset we knew the new website had to be 'mobile responsive' in design. This would mean all visitors, no matter what device they were using, would get a clear and easy to use experience.

Having developed and agreed a new graphical look, we took the designs and coded the site's templates using the latest HTML5 and CSS3 languages. Once this work was complete we integrated the templates into a customised content management system (CMS) so it could be easily edited. Infidelity then contracted a writer to supply the words and images for the site. Once the initial development work was complete, we made the website framework available to the writer and provided training on the CMS so they could add their content to the website directly.

The included blog engine was built with dedicated categories for news and special offers allowing new posts to be added to the site in the same way, but with the ability to appear in different places. The offers section also has seperate sub-sections for various types of equipment on sale. Each listing also contains a dedicated enquiry form that is automatically generated with every post, which means staff at Infidelity have all information required via a simple email from the website when a customer enquires. This allows them to follow up quickly and be as responsive as possible to customer enquiries.

The new site has delivered a dramatic increase in traffic, a very low 'bounce rate' and high engagment of visitors.
