Like many new companies, the first BrownHen website had been self-created with some nice images and text. However, the content was rather limited and no longer reflected the complexity of the work they carried out. Having met Presto at a CEDIA event, the folk at BrownHen approached us for a complete redevelopment of their website.
Key project objectives included:
- An all new graphic design.
- An editable site they could manage themselves.
- A mobile friendly design that looked great on all devices.
- A design they could add too later with new pages.
Design & Development
To help manage costs and timescale a premium purchased theme was chosen. This was modified to reflect BrownHen's company colours and include their logo. Subtle changes to typography styles were also made.
Once theme styles were finalised, specific page templates were assembled from blocks within the theme and everything documented. Each page template was then coded ready for inclusion in the final website.
A full Content Management System (CMS) was assembled and customised. This enabled BrownHen to edit their own website during the final stages of development and after launch. Final content was created and edited by BrownHen in conjunction with Presto, and the site launched in October 2016.
