Ethernet over Power - Why It sucks...

If you've every considered running Ethernet cables around your house to connect up a TV, printer or other device you've probably ended up looking into Ethernet over Power devices, often called 'Powerline' or 'Homeplug' technology. These add your data to your mains wiring and, thus, avoid running new cabling.

If you've ever had the misfortune to buy and try such devices you may well have found them to be just a tiny bit unreliable or disappointingly slow.
