Forces Recruitment Services (FRS) is a recruitment consultancy specialising in helping ex-forces personnel to find work. To celebrate their ten year anniversary in 2012 the FRS management team decided on a complete revamp of their website and commissioned Presto to do just that.
Presto embarked on a bespoke ground-up redesign of the FRS website. After analysing the needs of the company, both current and planned, a framework for the new site was developed which included integration with the company’s job posting service. This important functionality automatically delivers job listings straight to the website, in both whole company lists and on a “per-office” basis, as soon as a new job is added to FRS’s internal system.
Each regional office has its own microsite with personnel lists, contact details, agent biographies and an office-specific open vacancy list. A large candidate advice area was added plus functionality allowing candidates to apply for specific jobs and upload their CV directly to the site. Visitors can search for jobs by location and / or speciality using a custom built search engine too!
The whole site was built around a full Content Management System (CMS) which allows updating of all content by FRS staff including office details, news stories and page content / imagery. FRS was so happy with the look of their new website that they have now embarked on a complete rebrand based on the graphical identity that Presto developed for the site!
The new site is already proving itself to be incredibly successful, with client enquiries up 400% in the first month alongside hundreds of CV’s and job applications being submitted every month since.

Project Timescale: 16 weeks
With a dramatic upswing in mobile visitors Presto worked with FRS to develop a responsive design add-on for the site such that the it is a clearer and more easy to use on both tablet and smartphone devices. In addition it now meets Google's new guidelines for mobile-friendly listings.
To meet the needs of the changing business landscape FRS asked Presto to make a number of changes to their website during the Autumn of 2016. These included both style changes to enhance the visitor experience and admin updates. Included were new admin areas for embedded videos, testimonials and advertisements which now need to be made more regularly. These changes were approved and launched in November 2016.
From the first meeting to site launch we were never in doubt that Presto were the perfect partner to develop our new website. They took time to properly understand our business model before embarking on a well thought out and timely development programme.
