Project story

Forces Recruitment Services (FRS) was started as a one-man operation in 2002 and has grown into the UK's premier ex-forces recruitment agency.

We were asked to build a completely new website for the company back in 2012 and undertook major updates to the original site in both 2025 and 2016. In late 2023 it was clear that the current website, having served over ten years, was now in need of redevelopment. We were delighted to be asked, once again, to undertake the work.

The first, and most major change, was the move to our favoured Content Management System - Processwire. Not only would this bring faster page-load speeds, and be easier for the company's staff to use while editing content, it also provides the ideal platform for future developments.

Wide-ranging changes were made to site sttructure, so as to more accurately reflect the changes the business has seen in the post-Covid era. To facilitate this, we added an easy-to-use 'page builder' function allowing sophisticated content elements to be added by FRS staff. FRS generated a great deal of new content, and, alongside this, we imported several hundred historical blog articles from the old website.

The website went live in early 2024. It has dramatically improved usability for visitors, while retaining the companies excellent search rankings.
